Brandi Carlile at Viv

Multi-genre musician Brandi Carlile – whose repertoire ranges from folk and rock to pop and alternative country – made news last month at the Newport Folk Festival, when she graciously left the music legend Joni Mitchell resumes her headlining set, performing for the first time in two decades. Such a story is unlikely to happen when Carlile brings his “Beyond These Silent Days” tour to Salt Lake City’s Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, on Thursday, August 11. Carlile is set to have iconic folk duo Indigo Girls and singer Celisse as opening act. Tickets available at vivintarena.com.

Topping the list of artists playing in Torrey are folk/rock/soul musician Amos Lee, country and rock singer Elle King and rock band The Band of Heathens. VIP tickets and campsites are sold out, but some one-day and three-day passes are still available, at fortesolation.com.
