Taylor Swift is back and better than ever (more)! The pop sensation released his album Midnights on October 21 and is set to release several music videos after sharing a teaser on Thursday Night Football (how was the game, Swifties?). “I just wanted to first of all say thank you so much to Amazon for giving me the opportunity to show you a first trailer of the secret projects that I have been working on for a very long time,” Taylor said in a post at the start of the month. teaser. “These projects are the ‘Midnights’ musical films, the music videos that I made for this album to visually explore the world of this record. And I like to tell stories, I like to write songs, I like writing videos, I love directing them, and it was a really fun opportunity to work again with cinematographer Rina Yang, who was my collaborator on the 10-minute short “All Too Well.”
The singer-songwriter continued, “So we really wanted to challenge ourselves to do different things this time around and stretch ourselves and I’m really proud of what we’ve done and I really hope that you love them. We’ve worked with some amazing actors, more of whom you’ll find out at the end of the trailer.
While the teaser mostly featured clips of Taylor in several different scenarios, ranging from dressing like Marie Antoinette to being shot by a twinkling arrow, a list of actor names was included at the end that should make appearances in videos. Some of these actors include sisters Alana Haim, Danielle Haim and Este Haim of the band Haim, album producer and longtime Taylor collaborator Jack Antonoffmodel Laith Ashley, Laura Dern, makeup mogul Pat McGrath and burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
Taylor released the music video for “Anti-Hero” on the same day as the release of his album, which featured some of these big-name actors such as Mike Birbiglia (sleepwalk with me) and John early (Research group) portray Swift’s future sons, while Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Philadelphia is always sunny).
