Goz Teams Up With Successful Producer Yung Willis On ‘The Money Anthem’

Chigozie Basil, known professionally as Goz, is set to debut in the growing Nigerian music scene in style with his first official single, titled “The anthem of money”.

For this song, Goz teams up with a successful record producer; Yung Willis who delivers this beat with a high and reverberating tempo that Goz interweaves with his artistic finesse.

Goz’s bounce off the beat is characteristic of Afro-Trap (which is a subgenre of HipHop and American Trap) but with an Afrobeats twist that brings it home.

He calls his sound Afro-drill and is convinced that it will soon become mainstream.

In Money Anthem, Goz alludes to the state of the nation in glittering style as he portrays Nigerian politicians sharing the nation’s money and wealth while ignoring the people.

On the chorus, he can be heard singing “Share Money, Share Funds” as he jokingly urges the government to share the funds and let them flow, so that more citizens can let off steam or indulge in the excesses that life has to offer.

It is high energy music and certainly one for uplifting the spirit.

According to Goz, he wanted to create something that everyone can relate to and the topic is definitely one that Nigerian audiences can relate to because we all need our own, “Money Anthem”.

The song was released today, July 9th across all platforms and is just the first installment of what Goz has in store. He is already working on an EP called LOG “Life of Goz” where he plans to unleash his unique sound as he seeks to make a breakthrough in the growing Nigerian music industry.

He is signed to Pixy Entertainment and is the first artist on the list of the label.
