Kelsea Ballerini Returns for 2023 CMT Awards, Date and First Performer Set – Deadline


CMT and SCS have set the date for the 2023 edition CMT Music Awardsbroadcast Sunday, April 2, 2023 live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas for the first time.

The fan-voted show and Paramount Global’s signature country music mast will once again be on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Kelsea Ballerini will return as co-host for the third year in a row. His plans were revealed tonight during a moment on stage with Carrie Underwood as part of his sold-out “The Denim & Rhinestones Tour” stopover at the Moody Center.

Underwood, who holds the title of the most earning artist in CMT history with a total of 25 trophies, was revealed as the first performer for the 2023 show.

Underwood, whose latest single and music video, “Hate My Heart,” is currently out, is currently on a 43-city U.S. arena tour, which kicked off October 15 and will continue through spring 2023, with stops to come, notably at Madison Square Garden in New York. , the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and the Arena in Los Angeles.
