CMT and SCS have set the date for the 2023 edition CMT Music Awardsbroadcast Sunday, April 2, 2023 live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas for the first time.

The fan-voted show and Paramount Global’s signature country music mast will once again be on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Kelsea Ballerini will return as co-host for the third year in a row. His plans were revealed tonight during a moment on stage with Carrie Underwood as part of his sold-out “The Denim & Rhinestones Tour” stopover at the Moody Center.

Underwood, who holds the title of the most earning artist in CMT history with a total of 25 trophies, was revealed as the first performer for the 2023 show.
