Perfect Luster is the first single from Gord Downie and Bob Rock’s upcoming collaborative album.
Downie, the late leader of Tragically Hip, and legendary producer Rock began working on the project nearly a decade ago when the HIp was in the studio with Rock for World Container in 2006 and We Are All the Same in 2009. During these sessions, Downie approached Rock to ask if he had any music he could write for.

Once the project began, the two dove deep into Downie’s many notebooks and Rock’s musical ideas.
“Gord was first and foremost my friend, and having the opportunity to work with him on these songs was one of the greatest moments of my professional life,” Rock says in the press release. “I’m grateful to have been able to witness his genius so close.”
