Three Nigerian personalities, actor and influencer Pere Egbi; music producer and label executive Larry Gaaga; and creative entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest, were announced as the new Gulder Lager Ambassadors.

The trio will be the face of the “Senior Man” campaign, an initiative designed to recognize, celebrate and reward excellence in craftsmanship in different fields that crosses all socio-economic strata.

Gulder Lager, one of the beer brands of Nigerian breweries, has thrived in the Nigerian beer market for over five decades thanks to excellent brewing know-how. Understanding the dedication and skills needed to achieve greatness served as a guide in selecting its current ambassadors.

Pere, fresh off of a global reality TV franchise, launched a successful career as an actor in the Nigerian film industry, colloquially known as Nollywood. The US-trained nurse has also become one of the prominent faces in the influencer space, inspiring millions of young creatives to pursue their dreams by showcasing their talents in a variety of mediums.

As the world gradually shifts towards the consumption of Afrobeats and other genres originating in Nigeria, one of the driving forces is Gaaga, whose work is steeped in cultural appreciation. The singer, songwriter and producer has dozens of hit songs to his name.

On the other hand, an individual like Chief Priest has enabled native artists to properly monetize their content through tours that visit many states across the country. As a creative entrepreneur with a keen eye for brilliant and demanding creatives, the show’s promoter has worked with the likes of Davido, Burna Boy, Perruzzi, and more.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony which took place at Vertigo Restaurant, Lagos, Maria Shadeko, Portfolio Manager, Flavored, Non-Lager and Craft, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said the partnership will serve as an inspiration to those who aspire to greatness in their various professions. .

“We want to put ordinary people on a pedestal. Shadeko explained. We want them to feel noticed for the immense contributions they make to society through their craft by telling the story of their confidence and willingness to take on new adventures.

“Celebrating them unlocks another level of greatness. We hope that during the Senior Man campaign, more and more people will be lifted up. Collectively done, we in many ways preserve our identity as people of great will and discipline.

Likewise, an enthusiastic Pere Egbi expressed his gratitude for being selected as a figure to make an impact.

“I am very happy with the initiative which celebrates the workers on a daily basis, by making them more visible in their various professions. Such initiatives should be encouraged and taken up by other legal persons.

“The government also has a major role to play in this regard. I believe that when people are celebrated, they are inspired to be better; to improve. This campaign alone will have a profound effect on the general well-being of everyone in society,” Pere concluded.
