American Idol 2022 – Fans go wild for top 24 as Jimmie Allen is in tears after Mike Parker performance

COUNTRY star Jimmie Allen guest-starred on Sunday night’s episode of American Idol, and he cried.

Contestant Mike Parker performed Jimmie’s song, Best Shot, and revealed to the country star how inspirational he was.

“His journey is what inspires millions of people like me,” Mike said before taking the stage.

After Mike performed, Jimmie broke down in tears.

“Let him tell me that I represent for him what Charlie Pride represents for me, it’s pride,” said the emotional star.

The final episode of American Idol aired Sunday night and featured half of the contestants who passed the auditions and Hollywood Week in Hawaii.

Jay Copeland, Nicolina Bozzo, Emyrson Flora, Katyrah Love and Leah Marlene are among those who received the good news that they will be moving forward.

    “I’m not worried about you girl,” Katy said. “It’s the first time I’ve seen you without a guitar.”

    “The fact that you can walk away from your guitar…and have fun is a feather in your cap,” Luke said.

    “The artist is the one who directs the crowd”, said Lionel. “You have mastered this.”

    Jimmie recommended that she do “the church girls’ rock”, as she won’t have her guitar.

    “I think you have an amazing, spectacular voice,” Katy said. “I just want you to sing more with your heart and let it flow from you next time.”

    “I’ve made a lot of changes in my life and I feel ready,” Jacob said.

    “I still have a hard time trusting myself, but I never gave up.”

    “Jacob has a very good chance of winning this competition.”

    “I’m speechless right now,” Dan’s girlfriend Allyson said.

    “You started muffling the microphone to death,” Lionel said. “And then you calmed down.”

    “It’s okay to take that mic off the mic stand and walk over to Allyson.”

    Katy said she agreed and disagreed with Lionel.

    “I think if you had the guitar, you could have relaxed a bit.”

    Luke said it wasn’t Dan’s best performance but he doesn’t think it hurt him either.

    “My girlfriend will be in the audience, and she means so much to me,” Dan said.

    “This performance will be your proposal audition,” Jimmie joked.
