BERNVILLE — Indie Christian rock musician Brendon Weaver, known professionally as Mr. Weaverface, of Bernville released his new single, “The Holy Light Is Jesus” on April 8. The song tells the story of how Jesus Christ helps those who call on him. .
“I’ve been dealing with a lot of issues for most of my adult life,” Brendon said. “A lot of people don’t know that dark thoughts, anxiety, anger, and a whole range of negativity can be a bad spiritual influence. I knew deep down that God could solve the problems I had, and he took care of it at exactly the right time.
The song was recorded by music director Jason Wegfahrt at TCLV Studios in Bethlehem. It was mixed by producer, Jason Reif, of Freestone Productions.
“As I lay in bed I heard the phrase ‘The Holy Light Is Jesus’ sung by what sounded like a choir of angels,” Mr Weaverface said, describing the origin of the creation. of the song.
“The lyrics were sung to the guitar solo melody at the start of the song. So if this was something God wanted me to hear, I thought I should probably write a song about it and share it with others.
On the song, Mr. Weaverface sings and plays electric guitar and bass. The drums on the song are former Breaking Benjamin drummer Kevin Soffera, who recorded the drums at his own production studio, Hybrid Studios PA.
“People are always looking for a solution — an answer — to fix themselves when they’re struggling mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually,” Brendon said. “There is great peace in knowing Jesus and knowing that he can help. So if I can get the word out through the music and simplify this search, then that’s what I’m going to do.
Previously, he released his debut single, “Jesus Is Alive” on January 7, 2022.
“My musical style is heavily influenced by ’90s alternative rock, like Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots,” Mr. Weaverface said ahead of the release of his debut single.
Mr. Weaverface’s musical training began at the age of 5 when he started taking piano lessons. He continued his classical piano training throughout high school.
