Kim Kardashian has been married and divorced three times. But she rarely talks about her first marriage to record producer, Damon Thomas. The former couple married when Kardashian was barely out of her teens. She alleged that she married Thomas while on ecstasy, and she also alleged physical abuse during their union. Thomas tells another story.

Thomas and Kardashian met in 1998. In an interview with Vlad TV, Thomas explained that he actually met Kardashian years earlier when she was dating Michael and Janet Jackson’s nephew. He says it was Kardashian who sued him. The couple married in 2000 while eloping. In a 2018 episode of keeping up with the Kardashiansshe claimed she was on ecstasy at the time.

Thomas and Kardashian got married in Las Vegas. At the time, she was 19 years old. “I got married on ecstasy. The first time,” she said, referring to her marriage to Thomas. She said Harper’s Bazaar years earlier, Thomas being 10 years her senior, she considered him more mature and followed his example.
“I used to be so dependent on the guys I was in a relationship with,” she said at the time. “I don’t know why, because I wasn’t raised that way. If I looked at myself at 19, I’d shake myself and be like, ‘Wake up; you’re way too smart for that…’ We went to Vegas, he said, ‘Let’s get married!’ and I said, ‘Okay.’
Damon Thomas denies Kim Kardashian’s claims
Thomas has been a mom to Kardashian, except for apparently saying Magazine in touch that his ex-wife was in desperate need of fame. But in his conversation with Vlad TV, he denies Kardashian’s account of their wedding day and her ecstasy use.
“Yeah, I don’t remember that at all,” said Thomas, now 51. “I think it’s unfair to make these kind of sweeping statements because we have kids now, you know? I have children. My child goes to the same school as his child. So imagine him when he has to deal with that at school.
He also alleged that he moved out of his Calabash mansion and downsized to a smaller home in Hidden Hills, Calif., in an effort to financially support the Kardashian family. Per Thomas, the couple went on a family vacation together and were a loving couple. He is stunned by Kardashian’s account of events.

Obviously, the marriage between Thomas and Kardashian did not work out. They eventually divorced in 2004, with Thomas initiating the proceedings. But the divorce was brutal. In court documents obtained by Daily MailKardashian alleged that Thomas had become controlling and possessive.
“Damon decided what we would do and when we would do it. He was truly king of the castle,” Kardashian said in her filing. “Damon told me not to leave the house unless I first told him when and where I was going,” Kardashian said. “Sometimes Damon wouldn’t allow me to leave. For example, he didn’t allow me to go to the mall alone or with friends. He told me that he didn’t want men to have the opportunity to “hit me up”. He wouldn’t let me go out to dinner with friends I’ve known since I was a kid. If Damon wasn’t home, I had to call him and ask permission to leave the house.
Things eventually escalated into physical violence, at least according to Kardashian. “He got angry and punched me in the face. My face was bruised and swollen as a result,” she said in her documents. I got scared and decided not to. On another occasion, we were at the matrimonial home and we had a fight. He grabbed my arm and slammed me against the sliding mirror in the closet of our room.
