You’re going to need designer clothes for your metaverse avatar.
Purple Fly, Project X and Who Knocks have joined forces for a unique partnership to blend the world of NFT, haute couture and art.
On November 22, they will launch an exclusive NFT collection curated by several of the world’s biggest clothing brands, such as Prada, Burberry, Moschino and Etro. The expert designers from each company will work closely with the companies to create a look that is unique to the digital collector’s item.
The NFT pool started on November 16 with a collection by South Korean dance music superstar DJ SODA, designed by Damiano Clemente of Dsquared2. The collection consists of 10 rare NFTs and allows consumers to purchase part of the design rather than the full price.
“We are proud to be able to partner with this talented group, who will bring with them their extensive experience in design and fashion across multiple segments of the apparel industry,†said John Slyusarev, CEO of ProjectX. “This unprecedented collaboration will open the door to dozens of top brands in the NFT market.”
With the aim of supporting collaborations in all art forms and connecting music with stunning visuals, Purple Fly was launched in 2020 as the world’s first independent label powered by NFT. The Imprint has released tracks from DJ Diesel and BLVD., Fatman Scoop, Klaas, and more.
With each purchase, Purple Fly respects its commitment to pay DJ SODA – and his other musicians leaving the NFT – 15% of the label’s royalties.
Consumers can look forward to a full range of NFT drops in the coming months through this expansive partnership. Dance music producer Futuristic Polar Bears will release their collaboration with MasterCraft Boats UK and Stefano Lo Muzio from Moschino on December 14th. Malaysian influencer Ms. Puiyi will next release a track via Purple Fly and partner with Burberry’s Johanna Armstrong for their NFT drop on January 14, 2022.
