Arts in the Park welcomes People & Songs at Fox Park at La Porte this Thursday July 22 at 6 p.m. The showcase of songwriters from around the world will perform at the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater. The concert is free.
People & Songs is a community of creative people who learn, teach, write, tour, entertain and perform in many genres of music. The group includes songwriters, artists and cult leaders from a wide range of talents, generations and denominations. Calling themselves “musicians”. People & Songs praise and worship music will fill Fox Park with joy this Thursday.
La Porte County artist Nancy Addie from Addie Acres, a passionate and award-winning photographer, will exhibit her photos on Thursday at the Wolf Plaza Art Pavilion. Addie says her passion is to “capture the beauty of God” using her regional imagery to “be a positive voice for people in our amazing community.” Earl Miller, Arts in the Park committee member, will read selected poems at Thursday’s concert.
Concessions will be available. Tacos my “Fren” and the Fauson ice cream trucks will also be on site Thursday evening.
