The Lincoln Memorial steps will be transformed into a musical experience on Saturday as 15-year-old Jordan Millar shows off his talent.

Millar began her journey as a young composer with the New York Philharmonic Very Young Composers program when she was just 9 years old.

“The Philharmonic Orchestra really introduced me to composition and that’s when I found out it was even a possibility,” Millar said.

She will be the first part of the concert entitled Rebuild Harmony, presented by the organization Opera Italiana Is in the Air. Millar also wrote a piece called Erodesa for orchestra.

“A lot of people my age maybe don’t feel connected to classical music or operatic music. The work of Opera Italiania is going to change that and I’m so happy to be a part of it,” a- she declared.

Founder and conductor Alvise Casellati says the concert will be a healing experience and create more accessibility.

“The beauty of where we perform coupled with the professionalism of it, it will be an experience that people will talk about for a long time,” Casellati said.

He also hopes to encourage more women and young minorities like Jordan to get involved in gender.

“It is still a problem today. What matters, in the end, is talent,” he added.

The concert traveled around the world from Miami to Europe. Millar will be joined by Paloma Dineli Chesky, a 14-year-old composer who will sing “Peace in all Worlds.”

The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be free to the public.
