KGNU celebrates Public Radio Music Day on October 26 Stations across the country show how public radio music stations are uniting local artists and supporting them through live concerts and discovery events musical.
KGNU is participating in the third annual Public Radio Music Day on October 26, 2022. KGNU joins other non-commercial music stations, performers and fans across the country in recognizing the essential community service of public radios and their unique role in the music world locally and nationally.
Millions of listeners tune into hundreds of local public radio music stations like KGNU across America each week to discover, learn and enjoy a mix of musical selections, artists and genres that are, in many cases only available on public radio. Announced in July, this year’s theme – Discovering the Sound of Local Communities – highlights the return of public radio stations to producing local live concerts and music discovery events for their communities across all genres.
KGNU is proud to be part of Public Radio Music Day and will continue to engage music fans, artists and musicians through local live events and performances, dedicated studio sessions, stories from fans and artists, special programming and hand-picked playlists. .
